WORKERS IN the Employment Service and the Benefits Agency in south west London and Brent have voted for indefinite strike action by 334 votes to 74. The strike was due to start on Tuesday over management plans to remove security screens from offices.

All 50 pilot "Pathfinder" offices across the country are to be balloted for strike action over moves to introduce open plan offices. Government plans to move the strikers work to offices in Wigan have been met with fury, which threatens to escalate the dispute.
