Democracy denied over Genoa protest

European governments are clamping down on peaceful protest.

As Socialist Worker went to press the French "plural left" government banned the Globalise Resistance special train taking people from Britain to Genoa. This outrage comes from people who constantly harp on about the free movement of goods and capital. Yet they deny the free movement of people.

Globalise Resistance is doing its best to organise alternative transport. For more information see or phone 020 8980 3005.
