OVER 400 people marched from Manor House to Wood Green in north London on Saturday in support of political prisoners in Turkey. LOCAL PEOPLE in Wolston vented their anger on multinational corporation Aventis at a public meeting last week. Aventis plans to carry out genetically modified (GM) crop trials at New Farm, Wolston, which is near Coventry.


AROUND 15 people protested at the BBC in Manchester last Wednesday at the Nazi candidate for Oldham, BNP leader Nick Griffin, being interviewed on Radio 4.

A PACKED meeting of Bengali elders on an east London estate last week heard the family of the murdered Shiblu Rahman, local Labour councillors and community spokespeople call for a national anti-racist demonstration.
