Help us hit our target

Three quarters of the way there

SOCIALIST WORKER readers have sent us 150,310 so far, leaving us 49,690 to go to hit this year's target. In the weeks running up to Christmas we are urging all our supporters to make one last push to make sure we reach 200,000. Socialist Worker would ask all our paper buyers to:

  • Donate if you haven't already.
  • Take collections at your workplace or college.
  • Sell raffle tickets to your workmates, friends and families.
  • Support the fundraising events that are being held in your area.

Thank you!

"SOCIALIST WORKER is important in building opposition to New Labour, who are no different from the Tories they replaced." NORMA WILSON, north west regional organiser, CND

"A GROUP of us have collected 156 for the appeal. Now we've started on the raffle and in the last week we have sold 58 tickets. Everyone we have asked has bought at least one. People are always collecting for good causes, especially around Christmas, so it's dead easy." WORKERS IN PUBLIC SERVICES, Greenwich council, London

"WE'VE COLLECTED 76 for the Socialist Worker Appeal so far at Rolls-Royce. The raffle has added an extra dimension-mixing politics with a chance of winning a holiday in Mexico. Of course, the real prize will be smashing this rotten system. In the meantime, get selling the raffle tickets!" JOHN SMART, AEEU shop steward, Rolls-Royce test areas, Bristol
