  • AROUND 70 members of the Glasgow Campaign to Welcome Refugees held a protest outside Sainsbury's in Glasgow city centre last Saturday against the supermarket's support for the refugee voucher scheme. A number of trade unionists brought their union banners and Tommy Sheridan, the Scottish Socialist Party MSP, sent a message of support.
  • The Committee to Defend Asylum Seekers has produced Christmas cards featuring a colour drawing by Guardian cartoonist Steve Bell. A pack of six costs �5 from BCM Box 4289, London WC1X 3XX. Phone 07958 478 628.
  • CAMPAIGNERS IN Greater Manchester are fighting two deportations. One is that of Romanian refugee John Pops, who was arrested last week and now faces deportation. The other is of two refugees from India, Lata Shah and her daughter Devesha.
  • CLOSE CAMPSFIELD-end the detention of refugees. Demonstrate, Saturday 25 November, 12 noon, Campsfield Detention Centre, Langford Lane, Kiddlington, Oxford.
