Britain no 2 for arms
BRITAIN IS the second biggest arms exporter in the world, selling nearly 7 billion worth of arms, according to a report by the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
This is around 19 percent of the international arms trade. The US is the biggest arms exporter, accounting for almost 50 percent of the international arms trade. World arms exports are worth 37 billion a year. The repressive US-backed regime in Saudi Arabia bought over 4 billion of arms, making it the world's largest arms buyer.
