As part of Socialist Worker's �200,000 Appeal we have launched a "Red Raffle" with tickets at just �1 each.

Order your books of tickets from the Socialist Worker Appeal on 020 7517 9196, and sell them to your workmates and neighbours. The draw will take place in the new year. Exciting fundraising events are being held across Britain to help us reach our target.

We are asking our readers to hold fundraisers on the weekend of 28-29 October. Here are some already planned:

  • On Sunday 29 October the "Epping Forest Epic" sponsored cycle ride is being held in London. Choose from the 25-mile "short" route or the 50-mile "long" route!

  • In Manchester there will be a walk celebrating Frederick Engels' links to the city. Phone 07879 245 029.
  • In Wales two people are getting sponsorship to climb Mount Snowdon!
  • In Bristol there will be a tour of sites of interest linked to the city's slave trade and rebellion against it. Phone 07775 942 739.
  • Don't forget to raise money through collections at work.

ON Sunday 10 December there will be an exclusive showing of CRADLE WILL ROCK, the critically acclaimed film by radical US actor and film-maker Tim Robbins.
