A BRILLIANT 75 copies of Socialist Worker were sold in Greenock, 69 in Newcastle, 55 in Leeds, 50 at the Glasgow demo against the council tax, 48 at Leeds University, 40 at a Socialist Alliance launch in Newcastle, 37 outside Leeds station, 20 at a pensioners' demo in Leeds, 17 in Falkirk at the Scottish Socialist Party rally, 9 at Clapton bus garage, 8 at Northwold School Hackney, 7 at Woodford British Aerospace, 6 at Seacroft Hospital, 5 at Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle, Chesterfield House, Westbourne Park buses, Benthal and William Patten schools, 4 at Leith social work office, Kelloggs, Bury Town Hall, 3 at Ponefract, Kilburn and Harlesden sorting offices and 2 at Metallistic in Leicester.

The new Postal Worker newspaper got off to a good start with 8 sold in Woodford sorting office, and 6 at Bournemouth sorting office. Over the last week 9 people joined the SWP in Leicester, 4 in Leeds, 3 in Glasgow, 2 in Barnsley College, 2 at the picket outside the Israeli Embassy, 1 in Manchester, Salford University, Birmingham, Chesterfield, Hackney LSA rally, Nottingham Stockhill, Kingston University and Hammersmith.
