Israeli force crushes peace

A 12 year old boy is shot dead in his father's arms.

Teenagers throw stones and are met with live ammunition, tanks and helicopter gunships.

This is the horror of the Israeli repression of the Palestinians shown at the start of this week. On the one side stands Israel, the US's biggest ally in the Middle East and one of the most militarised states in the world.

On the other side are the Palestinians, who are still living in refugee camps after the Israeli state drove their grandparents out and forcibly occupied the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

It is seven years since the Oslo Peace Process which was meant to have ended the Palestine/Israel conflict. But Israel and its Western backers are still denying the Palestinians justice. Without justice there will be no lasting peace.
