Straw loses in court

HOME SECRETARY Jack Straw has lost a second case at the High Court over his treatment of Ghanaian asylum seeker John Quaquah. John is suing the Home Office for malicious prosecution after he was cleared of a charge of rioting at the Campsfield House detention centre three years ago.

The court ruled last week that Straw was wrong to deny John leave to remain in Britain while he prepares his case.
