THE SWP has been rallying in defence of our health service. 96 copies of Socialist Worker were sold on last Wednesday's demonstration in support of striking health workers in the Dudley Group of Hospitals. 46 papers were sold at Dudley Hospital. An excellent 29 papers were sold outside the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

In south London 9 papers were sold at Nine Elms post office and 5 at Tooting post office, while a new factory sale at Metelastic in Leicester kicked off with 3 papers sold. In Edinburgh 104 papers were sold in the city centre sale on Saturday. In Manchester 119 papers were sold in Market Street with �59.70 collected towards transport to the Prague S26 protest. In Leeds 60 papers were sold on Saturday.

In south London 53 papers were sold at East Street market where �14 was collected, 37 at Clapham Junction and 32 in Streatham. Despite the summer silly season, 3 people joined the SWP in Hackney last week, 2 people joined in Edinburgh, with 1 person joining in Cardiff and Elephant and Castle.
