Getting active!

THE SWP has been involved in lots of different activity in the last week. Comrades in Cardiff shared a platform with Stonewall against Section 28 and sold 12 copies of Socialist Worker. Five people want to go on to Prague from Brighton Pride.

In Scotland the Legalise Cannabis demo attracted 2,000 people-80 papers were sold plus �60 worth of books and pamphlets, and eight joined the SWP. There was widespread interest in going to Prague. An SWP member on holiday signed up someone to go to Prague from Inverness.

In Manchester 450 people came to the "Didsbury Keep the Baths Campaign", built by the local SWP among others. Comrades raised �40 for Prague in Manchester by doing two stalls during the day.

In York comrades are involved in demanding that York City signs up to Kick Racism out of Football. They joined others on Saturday petitioning and collected several hundred names-including two City players. 28 papers were sold at the meeting against tube privatisation in central London and a tube worker joined the SWP. 23 papers and 53 copies of Car Worker were sold at the Peugeot picket line.
