Lecturers

AROUND 40 lecturers and other staff, members of NATFHE and UNISON at Teesside Tertiary College, Middlesbrough, walked out last week over health and safety. Some asbestos dust had been released during building work. Workers walked out for about 40 minutes and went back after the principal publicly stated it was safe. But staff are still not working in the top two floors until air sampling has taken place and they have received a satisfactory report showing no contamination.
