May Day

SOME 2,000 people attended the May Day rally in Liverpool on Monday of this week. They heard Mick Rix, the leader of the Aslef train drivers' union, and George Galloway MP attack Blair's war on Iraq.


HUNDREDS OF protesters marched through Chesterfield during the annual May Day march on Monday of this week. The Stop the War Coalition had a very lively contingent on the march.


AROUND 200 marched behind the TUC banner in Leeds last Saturday under the slogan 'Welfare not warfare'.
