Gary Jeffery

SALFORD Socialist Workers Party comrades were shocked and saddened by the premature death of Gary Jeffrey recently. Gary held a central position in the Salford branch from joining in November 1997. Always an avid watcher of political discussion, he heard Paul Foot rage against the system on BBC's Question Time. Deeply impressed, he joined up immediately. Gary fought hard against difficult circumstances, including health problems. He was always at the front of demonstrations, and was impatient for change. We need more people like Gary. Our thoughts go to his family, friends and partner.
