Anti-racism

A VICIOUS attack on two tourists last week spurred local people into action against racism in Liverpool. Sunil Modi and Claire Nicholls were driving through the Dingle area of the city when a bottle was thrown at them from another car. They were then followed several miles to Aigburth where their car was forced off the road, and they were dragged out and brutally assaulted.

Sunil has described how his attackers shouted, "Spike him! Put the Paki's head on a spike!" Local Anti Nazi League activists organised an open letter condemning the attack which was signed by hundreds of people at street stalls.

  • MAHINDER RAM, the brother of Satpal Ram, was joined by members of Asian Dub Foundation and others in a picket outside the Home Office last week.
