Boeing strike going strong

THE STRIKE by 20,000 white collar engineers and technicians at the giant Boeing aeroplane factory in Seattle, US, is now in its fifth week. The workers, most on strike for the first time in their lives, have stunned the company with their angry, solid action. Some production lines have now nearly stopped because there are no engineers to sign out the planes. Talks are taking place between the company and the workers' union.
