AN EXCELLENT 175 copies of Socialist Worker were sold in Sheffield city centre on Saturday, along with 155 in Birmingham's High Street, 114 in Glasgow's Argyle Street, 112 at Newcastle's Monument, 70 in Wood Green in north London and 40 in Solihull. Manchester sales included 163 in Market Street, 41 in Stockport, 40 in Eccles, 30 in Salford and 29 in Rochdale. 17 papers were sold door to door in the Gorbals in Glasgow along with 16 in Castlemilk.

Workplace sales included 22 at Riverside House council office in Greenwich, 10 at De La Rue printers in High Wycombe, 7 at Gateshead Civic Centre and 4 at Scottish Power in Cathcart, Glasgow. 10 people joined the Socialist Workers Party on Saturday's demonstration to the Austrian embassy; 6 in Sheffield; 4 on the Remploy demo in Neath; 3 in Dalston; 2 in Edinburgh, Bradford, Manor House, Hackney Central and on the ANL delegation to Vienna; 1 in Clydebank, Paisley University, Manchester Central, Birmingham, Birmingham University, Bridgend, Cardiff, Swansea University, Hammersmith, Halifax, Newcastle West End, Homerton, Nottingham, Peckham and Crawley.
