London Socialist Alliance

THE LONDON Socialist Alliance got off to a flying start last week. The media has suddenly realised that thousands of people have become disillusioned with New Labour. London Socialist Alliance candidate Mark Steel debated New Labour MP Mike Gapes on the BBC's On the Record on Sunday. The LSA will be standing in the Greater London Assembly elections in May. Hundreds attended LSA launch rallies last week.

  • EAST LONDON: Around 100 people attended the launch rally in east London last week on Wednesday.
  • LAMBETH: At a 90-strong meeting Dion Da'Silva, branch chair of Wandsworth UNISON, and London Socialist Alliance candidate Greg Tucker urged everyone to vote LSA.
  • WEST LONDON: Sukhdev Reel, the mother of Ricky Reel, was one of the speakers at the 80 strong launch meeting in west London on Thursday of last week.
  • WALTHAM FOREST: On a cold Friday evening 75 people attended the launch meeting in Waltham Forest.
  • For more information about the LSA phone 020 7929 4213.
