LECTURERS AT Burnley College have voted decisively for strike action after two years of fruitless talks to renegotiate the contract imposed in 1993. The vote, with 65 percent for strike action and 85 percent for action short of a strike, reflects the anger of lecturers at excessive teaching hours and workloads. A union meeting this week will decide on what action to take.
