Teachers won support for their strike from across Britain and the world.

Workers in different unions, including Unison, the GMB, PCS, Unite, CWU, RMT and UCU, spoke at rallies and joined strikers’ marches.

Post worker Chris brought solidarity to teachers in Devon from the CWU union.

He said Royal Mail workers face a bullying atmosphere similar to that which exists in teaching.

Parents joined marches to show their support too.

The Chicago Teachers Union passed a resolution to send letters to NUT and NASUWT members “to express solidarity and support”.

Teachers from several other US states sent messages of support.
