Some 400 Pupil Support Assistants (PSAs) in Glasgow walked out on strike on Wednesday of last week in the north east area of the city.
It follows a city-wide strike the week before that brought 600 strikers together for a mass lobby outside the council chambers.
The PSAs are members of the Unison union.
They are protesting at Glasgow council’s insistence that they carry out healthcare and give medication to children.
The workers were set to continue with area-wide strikes in the south of the city on Thursday of this week.
