Motion to PCS left conference calls for more joint action

Issue No. 2379

Socialist Workers Party members have submitted an emergency motion to the upcoming conference of the PCS union’s Left Unity group.

It calls for more strikes to halt privatisation of shared services.

PCS members providing shared services in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Department for Work and Pensions struck last month to protect jobs and services from outsourcing.

The motion calls for joint action within groups in the PCS to fight the privatisation, as well as seeking to join up action with other unions.
