Call for action at Unite conferences

Issue No. 2379

The Unite union was holding sector conferences in Brighton this week.

General secretary Len McCluskey opened the conferences with a speech defending Unite from attacks by the Tories and the right wing press. He pledged to continue with the “leverage” protests criticised by the Daily Mail.

Unite’s health sector was set to hold a fringe meeting on Wednesday evening, calling for Unite to call action in support of the NHS.
