Back STA in union polls

by Paul McGarr
Issue No. 2380

Nomination meetings are taking place in local branches of the NUT union for candidates in elections for the union’s national executive.

Those elections will take place in the new year. The number of branch nominations for candidates is often key in the elections.

A number of Socialist Workers Party supporters are seeking nominations. They are standing as part of the Socialist Teachers Alliance (STA).

SWP members work within the STA and support STA candidates in union elections and nomination meetings.

The STA is standing two candidates in the union’s vice presidential elections, which conclude this week.

The STA candidates are Philipa Harvey and Louise Regan.
