Pay walkout for Mettis Aerospace staff

Issue No. 2384

Around 300 workers were set to strike at Mettis Aerospace in Redditch on Wednesday of this week.

They are members of the Unite union who face a “completely inadequate” pay offer of six percent over four years.

It’s an average of less than 0.5 percent per year, far below inflation.

But the company has £100 million on its order books.
