Class action against the bedroom tax

by Mervyn Drage, Anti Bedroom Tax Federation for Greater Manchester
Issue No. 2385

Disabled tenants and their families, representing over 500,000 people, will be in London’s Court of Appeal between 20 and 22 January.

They will conduct a class action appeal against the government and the Department for Work and Pensions. They are demanding the end of the unfair bedroom tax which is an attack on the poorest.

The Anti Bedroom Tax Federation for Greater Manchester is committed to abolishing the legislation.

Councils should not evict anybody because of arrears and should write them off.
