Amy Jowett’s leg was broken on a demonstration opposing the British National Party (BNP) on 1 June last year in central London (above). She has issued the following appeal for information:
“I would ask anyone who was at the demonstration against the BNP to have a look at their photos or footage. The incident happened just after 4pm on 1 June.
They might not be aware that they have caught something on camera. It would be useful to see any images from 4pm until 4:20pm.
Also I would like to find two people in particular. There was an older man with a grey beard who was on my left and who had linked arms with me when it happened.
There was a tall young man with a black beard and a brown flat cap who was stood behind me. He helped to lower me to the ground just after the incident happened.
If you think you might know who these people are, please ask them to get in touch.
Since the incident happened, seven months ago, I have been unable to work. I have had four stays in hospital. I’m being readmitted to hospital this month for a further procedure.
It would help me a great deal if anyone can come forward with information that helps identify the police officer who kicked me.”
