Fascist fears for his safety

Former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson has been jailed for 18 months for fraud. The racist says he will be in solitary for his own safety. 

He claims Somali Islamists Al Shabaab are targeting him. But his barrister let slip his greatest fear, “He has alienated another large part of the community who saw him as their leader.” 

Hacking at the Sunday Mirror

Ex Sunday Mirror journalist Dan Evans pled guilty to phone hacking in the high court last week. He said that his ability was why the News of the World poached him. He said he discussed how he would hack with former editor Andy Coulson.

RBS bankers to get bonuses

Publicly owned bank RBS faces losses of £8 billion, yet is still planning to pay its top executives 200 percent bonuses. 

Chairman Sir Philip Hampton said the bank needs to “pay to compete”.

Don’t deport Jacqueline

The UK Borders Agency detained Ugandan lesbian Jacqueline Nantumbwe last Friday to prepare for deportation. 

In Uganda she was tortured, raped and imprisoned, yet she has been denied asylum.
