Unison women's conference discusses austerity

Issue No. 2391

More than 600 delegates attended Unison Women’s conference in Brighton, which began on Friday of last week.

It was a focus for discussing how women bear the brunt of the Tories’ austerity agenda.

Socialist Worker supporters argued that strikes such as the Glasgow residential care dispute are an inspiration and show the potential for a national fightback over pay.

An official collection for the strikers raised £350.
