Campaigners’ in Southwark lobby to stop council cuts

Issue No. 2392

Benefit campaigners, trade unionists and others were set to lobby Southwark council in south London against cuts on Wednesday of this week.

They will meet from 6pm at the council offices at 160 Tooley Street, near London Bridge. Protesters want the council to use its discretionary funds to help people hit by council tax cuts and the bedroom tax, and to stop further cuts.
