These kitchens are in need of immediate financial help. Rush donations, and organise New Year delegations to:

Whittle (Parcels service), c/o Anne Lilburn, 50 Hedgehope Crescent, Hadston, nr Morpeth, Northumberland. A number of miners have returned to work in this area, and the group have lost a good deal of local support. Outside support is now vital.

Tupton, c/o Mrs M Kirk, 103 Winsfield Road, Tupton, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This group has received no money for two weeks.

Sprotborough and Brodsworth mining families’ support group, c/o Maureen Coates, 5 Wroxham Way, Cusworth, Doncaster. This new group isn’t directly linked to a pit, and receives no help through the NUM.

The original list printed in Socialist Worker contained 40 groups.
