Shift dispute continues on Yorkshire Ambulances

Issue No. 2394

Yorkshire Ambulance workers struck for five hours on Monday of this week in a row over shift patterns.

The action followed a five-hour strike on Friday of last week.

Workers are angry over proposals to lengthen shift patterns which will see them working for up to ten hours without a meal break.

The Unite union members struck on four separate days last month.

Unison has called off any action after reaching an agreement with employers.
