Ex-Black Panther Eddie Conway is free at last

Issue No. 2394

Former Black Panther Eddie Conway has been released after almost 44 years in prison.

The postal worker was convicted of killing a police officer in Baltimore in 1970.

He has always maintained his innocence.

The FBI at the time used agent provocateurs to break the revolutionary black movement.

After his release Eddie said, “I’m one of 200 people that’s still alive, after 32 years of them discovering that they had given us trials and jury instructions that were wrong and faulty and flawed.”
