Left wing activists win positions at Kingston University

Issue No. 2395

Left wing activists at London’s Kingston University last week won three part time student union positions and a position to be a delegate to NUS conference.

The major issue was to stop the closure of the School of Surveying and Planning.

New external campaigns officer Alistair Farrow said, “We now have a clear mandate for radical politics in the student union.” NUS delegate Francesca Manning said the left’s campaign had “shifted the debate”.
