Marchers challenge planned fire merger in Grimsby

Issue No. 2395

Hundreds of firefighters and supporters marched through Grimsby last Saturday over plans to merge two fire stations in the town.

The Cromwell Road and Peaks Lane stations will merge next month with the loss of one fire engine. Around 28 jobs will be lost.
