Laibach take a new direction with latest album Spectre

The controversial Slovenian giants of industrial metal have taken a more dancy direction in this latest album. The cement-mixing voice of Milan Fras is now accompanied by Mina Spiler.

The band have been accused of fascism, but are better described as nihilist with a critical edge.

But Spectre sees Laibach come out of the shadows with an album that’s consciously to the left, taking its title from the Communist Manifesto. It opens with a tribute to whistleblowers and ends with an upbeat nod to the Arab revolutions.
