200 Isle of Wight students walk out to save teachers

Issue No. 2398

More than 200 students at Cowes Enterprise college, Isle of Wight, walked out of classes on Friday morning of last week.

The students protested in school playing fields at proposed cuts to teaching staff at the school.

When the school’s head teacher came out to the protest the students chanted, “save our teachers”.
