Cambridge Lifeworks centre occupation continues

Issue No. 2399

The occupation to save a centre for people with personality disorders in Cambridge was ongoing as Socialist Worker went to press.

Up to 30 service users have been occupying the Lifeworks building in protest at plans to close the centre.

They won an important victory this month as the council’s scrutiny committee asked the mental health trust to reopen Lifeworks while it holds a consultation exercise.
