Shop staff in the PCS union working for the British Museum Company (BMC) struck for the first time ever on Friday of last week against a 1 percent pay offer.

The BMC made over £13 million profit last year and its director earns £180,000 a year.

The two-hour walkout saw fantastic support for the picket line outside the museum and more action is planned soon.
