Blood won't stop in Reading - yet

Issue No. 2401

Action by pathologists at  Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading has been postponed for two weeks while pathologists consider a deal.

They are members of the Unite union. The action was to consist of not processing blood tests from outside the hospital, such as from GPs and private hospitals.

The dispute is over reduced staff levels affecting safety, triggered by a change in the shift rota on 1 March.
