Lambeth College bosses get injunction - but a one-day strike will go ahead tomorrow

by Sadie Robinson
Issue No. 2401

Bosses at Lambeth College have been granted an injunction against an all-out strike due to begin tomorrow, Thursday.

Workers had planned to walk out tomorrow - and stay out until they won. Now the UCU union members will go ahead with a one-day strike tomorrow.

Workers at the south London college are fighting new, worse contracts that were imposed on them this month.

Bosses increasingly are turning to the Tory anti-union laws to try and break workers' struggle. They will continue to do so unless trade unionists defy them.

Every trade unionist should get to Lambeth College picket lines tomorrow morning and a strike rally in the evening to show support and solidarity for this critical fight.

Picket lines begin from 7am at the college's Brixton, Clapham and Vauxhall sites. A mass picket will take place at the college's Clapham site at 45 Clapham Common South Side, SW4 9BL.

A strike rally will take place at 6pm at the Karibu Centre, Gresham Road, Brixton.
