  • UCU union members at Dundee university were set to meet on Wednesday of this week to discuss action against compulsory redundancies. Some 69 percent have voted for strikes. 


  • Workers at King’s College London are balloting for strikes to defend jobs. The UCU union members backed strikes unanimously at a union meeting last month.


  • Lecturers, students and supporters marched in Hackney, east London, last Saturday against cuts to Hackney College. Bosses have proposed £1.75 million worth of cuts.


  • City and Islington College UCU members have voted by 78 percent for escalating strikes to defend jobs and education.
