Stadium had past problems
Inquests into the deaths of 96 Liverpool football fans at Sheffield’s Hillsborough stadium in 1989 have heard of “significant crushing” there in 1981.
Tottenham Hotspur fan Norman Fenton said the 1981 crush left many fans “more than just distressed”.
The inquests continue.
One million stop and searches
More than a million stop and searches were carried out on under-18s across 26 of the 43 police forces in England and Wales in the last five years. In some areas the use of stop and search against young people equalled up to 28 percent of all stops recorded.
Cops changed data records
Some 93 cops in Greater Manchester have abused data access since 2009, new figures reveal.
Just eight were sacked following disciplinary proceedings and ten resigned or retired before proceedings took place.
Offences ranged from stealing information to trying to change records about police incidents.
