Blacklisted construction workers have denounced the launch by eight building firms of a scheme claiming to compensate workers.

They are concerned that construction bosses are using information from the blacklist to contact workers.

The scheme, to be known as the construction workers compensation scheme, is now accepting applications and will last for two years.

Socialist Worker has seen letters sent out by the companies.

Workers who haven’t had contact with the companies have received letters.

The only way they could know to send the letters is from the workers blacklist file.
