Mark Duggan judicial review set to begin

Issue No. 2411

The judicial review into the death of Mark Duggan is set to begin on Wednesday of this week.

Mark was shot and killed by police on 4 August 2011. His death was the spark for the London riots.

An inquest into his shooting concluded he was unarmed when shot, but ruled that police had lawfully killed him.

The hearing, scheduled to last two days, will assess the jury’s conclusion. It will be heard by Lord Justice Leveson.
