It followed a huge 97 percent vote to continue the campaign in a recent strike ballot.
Bosses have imposed a pay rise of 29p an hour, which would still leave them below the £8.80 an hour workers are demanding.
The strike coincided with the beginning of an official boycott of Picturehouse, called by Bectu and backed by the TUC.
Support is growing among trade unionists for the Ritzy workers. The Hammersmith & City branch of the RMT tube workers’ union voted last week to donate money to their campaign.
