Teachers at Winterbourne Boys’ Academy in Croydon, south London, struck against lesson observations on Tuesday of this week.

It was the third walkout in their dispute with school bosses. Platanos Trust, which runs the school, bussed in scabs from another school during previous strikes.


Teachers back up parents in Sussex

Members of the NUT teachers’ union were set to strike on Wednesday of this week against academy conversion of Hove Park School in Hove, East Sussex.

The parent-led Hands Off Hove Park campaign has already forced the school’s management to postpone a decision till September.
