Seven-day strike threat at Look Ahead gets results

Issue No. 2413

The threat of a seven-day strike has forced mental health charity Look Ahead to withdraw attacks on workers in Hackney, east London.

It has cancelled a planned 14 percent pay cut, ruled out compulsory redundancies and improved the terms of voluntary redundancies.

The charity has also agreed to recognise Unite in Hackney, and the union will now push for recognition nationally.
