More join Stafford hospital camp

Issue No. 2417

Campaigners are continuing to hold a protest camp outside Stafford Hospital—and new protesters are joining it.

The West Midlands camp was set up a month ago in protest at plans to cut services at the hospital.

The cuts would transfer key services such as children’s, maternity, critical care and emergency services to Wolverhampton, Stoke and Walsall hospitals.

Patients and workers from the hospital have visited the protesters to get involved in the campaign.

NHS protest groups from across Britain have also visited to show support.
